USA: Oasis to manage Cape Charles marina
Oasis Marinas, whose portfolio of marinas now nears 50, has officially begun operational management of Cape Charles Yacht Center in Cape Charles, Virginia. This marks the third property for Oasis in Virginia and its first on the state’s eastern shore.
[p1]“Although we have properties all over Maryland and Virginia, Cape Charles Yacht Center is our first in this area of the Chesapeake Bay so this is a key property for us and our expansion in the mid-Atlantic. The future development plans for this property are impressive and our operations team is excited to start to create and deliver remarkable experiences for the Cape Charles audience,” said Matthew Shipman, Oasis Marinas president.
The marina is perfectly situated for vessels of all kinds and currently has 40 slips, over 1,500ft (457m) of alongside dockage and an 18ft (5.5m) deep water channel. It is able to accommodate yachts up to 240ft (73m). Facilities include winter storage space, a 75-ton boat hoist, shower and laundry, bait and tackle, ship store, boat ramp and a boat maintenance department.
Marina guests can also use the amenities at the neighbouring Bay Creek Resort, which offers two swimming pools, a golf course and a fitness centre.
