USA: Forest Development in further Florida bids

Forest Development Acquisition LLC, a relatively new company in the US property market, is hoping to build on the success of its Nautilus 220 residential development in Lake Park, Florida with additional high-profile projects.

The company has reportedly placed a bid to help expand and renovate the Lake Park marina that lies adjacent to Nautilus 220 and is also believed to be the developer of choice for the proposed Seven Islands/Gulf Gateway project in Florida’s Cape Coral.

Forest has submitted a plan for a mixed-used development it names Gulf Gateway Resort and Marina Village that could begin this year but would take about a decade to complete.

The City has first to approve the sale of the land, and then approve a development agreement in early summer.
